The inception of the Taliban was the product of the aftermath from the soviet afghan war. On 15th February 1989, the Soviet Union completes the full retreat from Afghanistan.

After 10 years, billions of dollar of arms and support from the US, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia and 1.5 million Afghan lives "The War is over"

Soviet union exits Afghanistan after 10 years (1979-89)

Afghanistan breathes the air of freedom, kids fly kites while gown ups lit cigars in the hope of new Afghanistan. 1989 is the year, the world will associate with courage over power. Afghan mujaheddin's have fought like warriors, their courage and valor has thrown away Soviets from Afghanistan.

Post the Soviets withdraw, Afghanistan becomes a free state with no constitution. Soon the holy warriors of Afghanistan who defeated the Soviets are embracing new motives. These war veterans preach for political control of new Afghanistan. These mujaheddin's were united while fighting against Soviets, the greed of sovereignty divides them. Now, they fight against each other to arrive at the utmost power in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan Erupts into Civil War (1989-1994)

Several mujaheddin leaders marched towards capturing the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul. Once they were safeguarding this place together from the Soviets, today they launch rockets and bombs among each other. The avarice of sovereignty has led to a Civil War in Afghanistan, which caused Ten thousand civilians lives.

Kabul burns

Afghanistan was left with greedy mujaheddin's, Factories of heroin and opium and a closed embassy in the United States.

Afghanistan soon got divided into five different power centres , some use to say "one needs five visas to travel within the country."

Civilians were tortured and maltreated by the local leaders, with no implications. The crime rate jumped excessively in the government less country. Afghans wanted legislation to restrict the crime and have a better standard of living. Afghans were seeking for someone to rise and fight these people, bring judiciary and government control in Afghanistan.

Rise of Taliban

One morning, Civilians anger reaches a breaking point when a local mujaheddin commander in Kandahar kidnaps two teenage girls. At the camp, these girls are repeatedly raped. Looking for the justice, the local people reach their local mullah of Kandahar, Mullah Mohammad Omar (Afghan-Soviet War veteran). ).

Mullah Mohammad Omar was a mujaheddin while fighting Soviet. He was highly respected all over Afghanistan because of his courage while fighting Soviets. He stood up for the local girls with the help of 30 young Islamic students. They marched towards the commanders camp and attacked them. After freeing the girls, Mohammad Omar and his followers hanged the commander from the barrel of the tank. Some see this as the beginning of the Taliban. Taliban means a place which shelters anyone who is a seeker of truth. Soon after, all the Kandahar looked upon Mohammed Omar as the protector and the one who will fight mujaheddin. With support from local people and outside power, quickly Taliban started capturing the areas under the mujaheddin. They marched till Kabul and formed their government, as desired by the locals.
